I discovered today that very little testing is being done in the Baton Rouge, Ascension Parish area. Even people who have been exposed to someone who tested positive and now themselves are experiencing symptoms can't get tested. I think the key is that you have to be struggling to breathe, and that is the only way you get tested.
Meanwhile people continue to go to work even if someone in their family is experiencing symptoms. They can't get tested so no benefits available to them as far as sick leave or anything else. New Orleans may be in really bad shape at this point, but I would venture to say that the Baton Rouge area is a ticking time bomb.

When you get there you better pray they have a test. Yes, the situation in BR is poorly managed, and to be honest this is why we have cases doubling every day. People do not know they have it, and obviously every business is "essential".
