Lafayette's coronavirus cases expected to increase for at least another week [ link to www.msn.com (secure)] Lafayette Parish saw its biggest single-day increase in new coronavirus cases Wednesday, and hundreds of pending tests in the parish have officials expecting more cases for at least another week. Lafayette Parish reported eight new cases Wednesday, bringing the total to 20, and lifting Acadiana's total to 36. That's an increase of 12 cases in the region since Tuesday. Sis, who lives in New Iberia, told me a lot of people were going to Lafayette to be tested because amazingly Laffy has it going on and has testing that's easy to get.
