Actually, 80-87% are asymptomatic/extremely mild symptoms. As testing here in USA is extremely limited, and only being done on those who have bona fide symptoms of the disease (unless you're in congress, you get preferential treatment), some 80% are going undiagnosed. Thus, your 1.3% death rate is applicable to diagnosed cases. Let's say 20%, giving the virus the benefit of the doubt. So death rate, actual, is 0.26%. 2.6x flu, assuming flu death 0.1%. This season's "flu deaths" per CDC average 2.3 to 3.1x last seasons. Where have the extra deaths come from? SARS-CoV-2 has been here longer than they are saying, and we did not die or collapse. Will people die? Yes. Most will not. Life goes on, continue marching forward.
