Of course Trump is going to have to make decisions that might not be exactly what the health officials recommend. Health officials are solely concerned about the health of the population. They are singularly focused. Trump has to weigh the economy, the virus, the potential for people that are out of work getting depressed and/or running out of food eventually and what that will cause in terms of societal stability, etc. There are many ways people can suffer/die, and the virus is only one of them. Trump has to do his best to try to find the best path through all of that, but it seems like many are so shortsighted and single-minded that they only care about what a CDC official thinks should be done.
