Galveston County Texas Shelter In Place Issued

I just heard from my cousin. She is a nurse in Galveston UTMB. She called this morning and sad we might be under martial law. She said they were given passes to travel and told not to say anything.it was weird because I never really hear from her. People in Galveston county haven’t stopped hanging out yet. They are packed in stores, chilling outside in groups, and all over the parks. These cases are jumping as high as Houston @nd we are a much smaller area. Anyone have info?

I have permission to work or travel "essential critical infrastructure employee" papers as well and it's really weird we only have 19 cases across 4 counties

My stepfather works for the Cadillac dealership on I-45 twenty minutes away. He is on the Harris County side so we got why he was issued the pass. But it was odd that my cousin would call @nd warn us from UTMB. She told us about a month ago that they had cases at her hospital in Galveston but not to alarm the public yet. Thirty days later we went from two to almost twenty or so. No one stayed in until now so we are getting worse. I am the only person in my family that is a GLPer. So for her to mention martial law was so out of character for her. She said try not to go anywhere at all.
