Nah. Cutting down her smartphone time will hurt her more than that. The baseline is two hours a day and it can go very quickly to "essential phone time only" (i.e. only teacher's messages/calls). Works every time.

You can put parental controls on her phone. We did this for our teens when necessary. No texting, no data. Phone calls only to/from parents.

They get it from tv. We put on music on youtube. Drake and chris brown video that is 9 minutes came on and first 30 secs he uses the n word. They shouldnt use that word just cause they are black.

My kids weren't allowed video games or mobile phones until quite late in the lazy parentshandbook of times we've had to suffer, and not until a family break down where the abuser and home wrecker provided them...
