Citizens should remove them and guard the ramps from ‘officials’ using force if necessary.

Boat ramps are for small boats on trailers. A lot of boat ramps are public. They probably don't want people out boating, kind of like they are closing public parks in a lot of places.

The real tell is if the harbor masters close marinas. That's where the big boats are.

and btw they're trying to reduce hospitalizations especially during spring break which is why they closed boat ramps across oregon (not just at the coast). pay more attention before you spread overreacting doom.

Our local marina is inside a harbour, and they are apparently too going to restrict anyone except I think authorized couple of people to maintain moorings.


It makes no sense, taking my boat out to sea, no way I can infect anyone. Hanging out in the marina, even if my neighbours where on board, there is by default social distance, and the sun and sea air will hamper airborne spread, plus contract spread will be only my family or myself on my boat.

What does this have in common to the panic about beaches?
