User ID: 78683045 United States 03/25/2020 08:22 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I caught Covid-19 back a week and a half into January. Mind you, I got my flu and pneumonia vaccine back in September. Quoting: elquisqueyano I woke up one morning with a severely sore throat, which then became a nasty dry cough, which then became an extremely bad case of sinus pressure and cold. That was it, lasted about 2 and a half weeks. Exact same thing happened to me except in late November. Started with a particularly sore throat then went right into the lungs. I was surprised at how bad the cough was and despite my trying I could NOT get anything up. I actually had sore ribs from coughing so hard. Very unusual for a common cold. Lasted about 2 weeks ALL my coworkers got it too. One older woman had it for 4 weeks! Always with the racking dry cough. I got a regular cold back in late December and thought "yeah THIS is what regular head colds feel like....not that crazy chest shit I had in Nov." If I had now what I had back then I would immediately assume it was Covid. Without thinking twice! Was Covid circulating the US back in November? |

Quoting: elquisqueyano I woke up one morning with a severely sore throat, which then became a nasty dry cough, which then became an extremely bad case of sinus pressure and cold. That was it, lasted about 2 and a half weeks. My initial thought was, I had influenza, but I thought, I received my flu and pneumonia shot in September so why do I have the flu. I thought to myself, see, flu shots are not effective. Then covid-19 starts getting worse and I realized, from the symptoms being reported, that must have been what I had, Covid-19. same here. It's nasty, but most will survive. Death rate is LOW in the US. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7305023 United States 03/25/2020 08:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Fort Worth, Texas. January. Quoting: ladulce My husband and I (both healthy mid-40s me, early 50s he) developed what we thought was a cold, but, then it went crazy. He was sweating so badly in the bed, the mattress was soaked every night. Constantly. He had a high fever, developed a super-thick mucus that he couldn't cough up without vomiting. He fainted and hit his head when he stood up to go to bathroom. The mucus was enough that he would have trouble breathing. I never get sick (aside from when I had dengue) and this had me struggling to breath so badly that I was in a panic stage. We were diagnosed with a respiratory infection, but, treated for pneumonia. They gave us z-packs, cough medicine (crazy pill with terrible side effects possible), flonase, pink eye medication and something else (I forget what). We were asked if we had traveled from China recently, which we hadn't but have spent a ton of time in the airports, since we just moved back from abroad- and have been receiving guests from all over.... I seriously think this was COVID 19. It felt unlike anything I've ever had. There was a strange level of being conscious but asleep. I couldn't stop coughing at the local kroger when I went to pick up meds. To the point the workers were scrambling to call 911. They thought I was choking. One of the pharmacists got me the meds and water and we were able to pause it. Still have the cough. We have 3 kids that live with us, they had little symptoms, but, 2 of the three still have the cough, also. Exactly the same symptoms I had back in January. I faited in the hallway trying to go to the bathroom like your husband. Coughing so hard I would end up throwing up. Same with the conscious, but asleep part. I kept feeling like it was me transitioning into the afterlife. I said my goodbyes to everyone. I still have a random cough too. |

Hopefully I'm now immune. Good luck to y'all. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75394950 Second wave is hitting a different set of organs. You can catch it again. Be careful. Hopefully not |
