Ok here’s the deal I found out last year that my partner of 17 years was trying to date anyone ther man while I was offshore for 6.5 months straight. When I was going through tremendous heart break someone close to me stole 120k from me and I have zero legal recourse. I didn’t have enough money to survive so I had to get a job making half the pay I was making and I was barely getting by and I just got laid off. In this time I also totaled my car so I’m walking everywhere. Hey I’m at fault because I loved someone and money always came easy and I wanted to spend a peaceful time with my family on the little time I had off so I didn’t argue about money so fucking crudity me.

Find roommates immediately.

If can't find roommates shut off all utilities, no internet, no phone. Get a track phone.

Sell all items except for food basically.

Dig up the yard and plant vegetables.

You can do it, I believe.

Landscaping, even just lawn mowing is still allowed under the home maintaince clause of the lockdown.
Grab your mower, big sun hat and save yourself while helping others.
Rains been good, grass is tall.
At $45 per yard(cash only), 4 yards a day = $180 and in 30 days you've made a nice untraceable/untaxable boatload of cash money.
If you only need 2k you can squeeze in a few days off.

Start early before the heat.

Oh that’s not all of it I also went to the emergency room several times and had to take out loans just to survive. I’m generally a fucking cheap skate and my cars were 2006 and the only debt I had was the house. I just had everything explode in my face over the last year after I lost my family. I always saved money because sometimes I’d have to wait eight months to work again so saving wasn’t the issue. I’m at fault though because for years I enjoyed those long breaks and I could have worked temporarily until the season started back up.

Dude, don't do that! I went through some serious turmoil 5 years ago (it seemed as though my entire career ended). Give it time, and don't make any rash decisions. I was worried sick about my and my family's future. Today, I work selling firearms and defending the Second Amendment, and am way happier with what I do as compared to five years ago. You WILL get through this. My situation was very similar, but is significantly improved now. Keep the faith and don't make any irrevocable decisions. And know that there are people that support you (even from a distance).

No plan B because the Gulf of Mexico is shutting down so I can’t get another job working in the gulf. I live in Lafayette Louisiana and the only industry is the oil industry which means everyone will be out of work soon. The jobs around here only pay 8 dollars an hour and until I get my second car fixed then I’d have to walk to a job. If I can get my car fixed then I could go to Houston and work for 13 dollars an hour but I’d be sleeping on the couch and sending every penny back in to the Ex so she could pay the fucking bills.

I got laid off because the price of oil collapsed and the quarantine in Louisiana meaning no more than ten people can gather in one location so working on a dive boat with 50 people is out of the question. The reason I can’t work is because everyone is in the same boat right now so no one will be hiring and since the work is seasonal then more than likely I’ll not be able to get back on until next summer.

You can rent your house out as one way of keeping it and move in with a friend or relative.. or camper van until you know where you can find work.

You could put your house on the market now to get $$$ to relocate.
