Did you know you can freeze fresh eggs? The FoodMaxx on Parkmoor Avenue near Meridian Avenue is temporarily closed after store employees learned of their coworker’s death.

Something is going to break the food supply chain. Whether it's lack of supplies (hoarding), delivery logistics, or warehouse/retail people finally getting sick.

I ordered some (supplemental) canned goods on March 10th. Delivery date has moved 4 times now and now finally supposed to arrive on April 1st. We'll see.

Confirmed case of COVID-19 at Oshawa grocery store

News of the confirmed case of COVID-19 at Sunnybrook comes after the province reported its biggest one day jump in cases on Monday with 78.

Loblaw also confirmed late Monday night that an employee at a Real Canadian Superstore in Oshawa has tested positive for COVID-19, becoming the first grocery store worker locally known to have contracted the virus.

In a statement, Loblaw CEO Galen Weston said that the company became aware of the confirmed case at their store on Gibb Street on Monday and immediately took the step of closing in order to conduct a thorough cleaning.

Weston said that staff are also working with local public health authorities to “investigate the colleague’s recent shifts and direct contacts” during that time.

I was at Walmart over a week ago and actually saw employees on their knees wiping down counters and such.

Fact is, yes there are closures and contamination. But they clean it and open again.

Trader Joes is a specialty grocery store. Not an HEB. HEB will never close. Drive-by pick up maybe. Which I am sure HEB would love. But, elderly that are not used to technology would be in big trouble. So perhaps reduced hours, but Grocery stores will never completely close down.

Store where I live are fully shelved except for TB. I just went today for groceries.
