We are now shut down with a trashed economy for and additional 200 deaths per day? Doesn’t make sense and I believe that yes this virus is real but why are all countries reacting so differently to this one compared to H1N1 and SARS? Things just don’t add up! There are so many things going on here that are almost to numerous to list not the least of which is all the mind numbing information available and being propagated all over the internet. Quoting: Irish eyes Let me list a few that strike me and feel free to add to the list. The IRS has suspended all interest and penalties for everyone. When have you ever heard of this? They are ready to spend up to 4 trillon dollars to control and/or abate this virus and the economic consequences thereof. To foregoing as someone posted and linked to Forbes they are ready to pull the "digital wallet" trigger. Notwithstanding there are the "nutbar conspiracy" angles we could easily go into like this virus being connected to 5g which I'm not personally ready to dismiss. It is way too far reaching when everybody from Google to the WHO and the CDC is bombarding you everyday with the social distancing and shutting down of everything from restaurants to beaches. Thank God for GLP and the few glimmers of truth that are still allowed to shine through here The Lone Ranger “Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. I still have my job, thank God, but am doing it from home now... which has its plusses and minuses. My girlfriend, just today, was stopped by a cop walking down the sidewalk to the park with her 2 yr old daughter... he told her to go home, and that they were only allowed to be out if going to get food or for medical. She was near her car and he even took her plate number down... she lives 30 miles away and is now afraid to drive. I am a Christian. Our ancestors had to go to war for months, we just need to sit on our asses at home. And we have Netflix and Internet to entertain us. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78685037 Yup. It isn’t that bad. Get them out the door. Clean the kitchen. Get dressed. Make the bed. Clean the bathroom. Take care of trash. Make my phone calls. Plan supper and lunches. Take myself and the dogs for a walk. Do whatever needs doing. Housework, laundry yard, shopping etc, start supper. Watch the birds and drink coffee and smoke cigs for a bit. Talk family. Clean returned things. Finish and eat supper with family. Feed the dogs. Clean up dinner. Take a shower. Sit in my chair and read or something until bed. Repeat. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77064441 Same as it ever was. Sounds like a wonderful life. :0) |

My grandmother did not drive, and I remember her pick activity of the day was sitting on her front porch to see activity around her. That was her piece of the world. I as all Americans did not have those limitations. I feel like the lights of freedom and liberty are being darkened and dampened all in the name of something that they have pronounced as our adversary. Most family lives locally, but none have been in my house in nearly 2 months- nor have friends. I go nowhere but my backyard. Husband always worked mostly from home- his business is down 30%. Anonymous Coward User ID: 76984449 United States 03/25/2020 08:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Absolutely not. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78685480 I've been living under a lockdown for 2 weeks already and it's absolutely suffocating. Apart from going to supermarkets (which, strangely enough, have very little people in them) and walking my dogs, there's fuck all that can be done. f.e. You can go jogging, walking, bike riding in this shithole, but using your motorcycle to go for a ride would cost you $350 in fines if they catch you. Sitting outside on a bench or in the grass (no matter if no-one is around) is forbidden. I took my mother to the university hospital today for an MRI after a traumatic brain injury. We went fully dressed with masks, glasses and gloves. But here's the kicker: 80% of the staff and more than half of the visitors didn't wear any protection. This fucking psychotic madness is nauseating. Idiotic nonsensical rules are being enforced, whereas truly necessary measures are being completely neglected. why would they fine you for riding a motorcycle if you can ride a bicycle? You should only be outside to exercise. |

I have 2 teenagers and a four year old that were just getting used to life back in the United States who aren't in school anymore Our four year old needs speech services and a medical evaluation because his speech got really bad really quickly and we can't get any sort of help right now- even in for a checkup to make sure it isn't something seriuos. We cant go anywhere. All I do is worry about my little boy and disinfect my poor husband when he returns. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 70963491 United States 03/25/2020 08:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I may be in the minority, but my life is for the most part the same. I enjoy being by myself and am very mentally well. I just enjoy being alone, and of course enjoy being with a girl, having dates and stuff. I am a hotel manager, and our hotel is still open, while it is very different in how the hotel is operating and we laid off most people, I still enjoy working in the hotel. I am of course inconvenienced by not being able to goto the gym and can't goto cryotherapy, cupping therapy (for my body) as I enjoy being holistically healthy and doing positive things for myself...but it's OK honestly. When the weather is nice, I like to goto the parks and stuff like that, but I can find peace in anything really, so it's OK. |
