So if you are living off of social security, I wonder if you get anything.
Quoting: hollyavila I think only if you filed taxes last year. That way the dept of treasury knows who and where to send it to, and how many dependents you have. (and those making over $100k don't qualify) Singles making over a 99k don't get it. If you were married when you filed you will. Under 150k for married. I also read that if you are 1099 rather than W-2, you may not qualify. Another stipulation I saw was if someone else could/did claim you (like college kids, etc). Its going to have so many rules & stipulations tied to it, I doubt many will get it. But hey, Boeing & The Kennedy Center will be A-OK, so all will be right with the world.
