Corona virus is a lot worse than you think.

Yep. This is different. I usually get patients with respiratory issues like pneumonia or bronchitis in the winter time not when it’s hot. I don’t think this will be seasonal.
It’ll more than likely be year round.

As you all know, I work as a paramedic near New Orleans . I am getting a lot of calls with corona virus symptoms. Most are mild, although they may present like the flu, this is very different. It attacks their lungs and causes pneumonia at a much faster rates.

I’ve spoken to nurses at the hospital and most of the ER patients have corona virus. She said that many of them are very sick. They are a variety of age ranges , not just the old. I’m getting at least one corona patient a day in a 12 hour shift .

In fact , my supervisor said that the average age in New Orleans are people in their late 30’s-40’s. Of course more older people die.

Many are coming in with oxygen saturation’s of 90 or less (supposed to be 95-100)

I’ve had crews run on people who was diagnosed with Coronavirus and found dead 2 days later.

Some people don’t know they have it until it’s too late. The ICU’s are also full of intubated patients. Emergency rooms are full as well.

Also, New Orleans or Louisiana as a whole has a huge aids population so that doesn’t help.
