LJS, I have not started milking my two Jerseys yet. They both have calves. Gotta separate the calves or eat them.

I will have to figure out how to make butter and cheese. I saved the stomachs from calves I slaughtered to make rennet.

Still learning new things at 70. This farming is hard work!

My old body hurts all over, but we are getting some planting done.

As we spiral towards a grand solar minimum, famine will eventually be familiar to all.
Forget politics--it's a psy-op; you have no real choice and your votes don't matter!
You are being divided as a distraction while the earth moves closer to the next cataclysm. Expect plagues, famine, floods, droughts, earthquakes, and vulcanism--and all to increase going forward. We are going through a geomagnetic excursion event coupled with a solar minimum--please wake up and help wake up others!

Well I ordered pet food 5 days ago from a well known online pet food service and I'M STILL WAITING for confirmation of shipment!

Still haven't received by tracking #. Usually they have it shipped out no more than 2 days after you place your order.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll order early.

well could be that the pet food company is overrun with orders I work for a pet food company and we are getting like 50 orders per day running 7 days a week, and we only ship out full trucks each trailer is worth about 75 thousand dollars, it's gotten so crazy we have literally had to limit certain products for each company we ship to amazon and chewy PetSmart Petco all across the USA, Canada, and Mexico

Well, FYI, all the damn Fancy Feast is OUT online at Chewy and the dry Purina I usually buy too is OUT. And I have an old picky cat. Also seeing the dog food I usually order is OUT also. I have one extra bag on hand. So, thanks for working OT!

If you are White, our Supreme White All Father will create food production for you and your community. Please do not worry about anything, instead pray about everything.

If the black and brown people repent in all sincerity for their evil crimes against the Whites and beg forgiveness for the misuse of the White Adam son's technology, abusing the gift to read and write and speak such filth towards their White Teachers of old and new, repenting to our Supreme White All Father who created the Atom and the Adam and the son, He can create a homeland specifically for them, for each race/tribe with heavy border security for each, all provided by the Tall White ET's.

It's going to get good, not bad. Have faith.

HEB, a Texas chain, allowed me to buy 4 cans of cat food. I have two kitties who eat 2 cans per day. It will take 6 days to receive those cans, 2 days worth of food.

Whatever it takes to keep our babies fed, all the hard work is much appreciated. Those who over bought and are hoarding should be arrested.

Rest assured food companies are working 24/7 at full capacity

I know because I was just hired by one

They expect 10-13hrs of work a day 7 days a week during this crisis

It is very exciting to take part in this crisis working for a company that is part of the critical infrastructure keeping Americans fed hf

The Trucking industry is very hot right now

What most do not realize is if your willing to get off your butt and switch jobs to one of these critical infrastructure industries you will cash in

If not enjoy your welfare checks while they last only to be left wondering what to do next when the welfare runs out5a

I live in a shelter in place state. In two towns about 20 miles from me there delmonte, Hormel and a large co-packer that makes dry food from general Mills, Walmart, Aldi and dozens of off brands. There also a Nestle warehouse( way more than chocolate) and one of the largest frozen food storage warehouses in the country.

All deemed essential and all working full blast.

You are right we not running food any time soon. Any shortages right now is due to panic buying and logistics.

Shove it up your ass, fool. Or maybe you are just a bot.

There is a difference between stocking up - and over buying that compares to hoarding.

I was alerting people as to how long it takes for what was same day grocery delivery ( 6 days now) and what limits there are for pet food at HEB. Anyone in Texas who has come to depend on HEB needs to find a secondary resource - which I have.

such a load of shit. Food shortages will never occur unless we hit that sudden mini ice age event thats happened in the past and even then, it would be manageable with imports from warmer climates.

Plenty of people out of work are dying for a job to pick/process food.

I think the take away is that there are changes happening that will change this situation. We had troubles last year and we're looking at the same troubles this year.

Last month a local county drain commissioner was sounding the alarm about how high the water tables are this year - at record levels. It's been days since it last rained and I noted the standing water in many fields on my way home. It's going to rain again today and through the weekend.

Other regions are looking at their own troubles.

And then we will have to see what the final outcome of last years harvest will be. The USDA counted an unknown number of acres of corn that was left standing in the fields as "On Farm Storage". The yield of that storage is based on unreal expectations and farmers have to make the decision whether to still harvest that corn or just plow down to get another crop in.

Yes, panic buying has led to the shortages that we've seen in recent weeks but the potential for real problems is something to consider.

Re: Food production shortages coming to a store near you.
Agreed that the issues right now are due to panic buying. There are also problems with backed up grocery store deliveries to the home because so many are trying to stay out of the stores. It took shopping online at two stores with home delivery to get my normal groceries - both had same day, even within the hour deliveries - and now Kroger has a 3 day wait just to schedule, and HEB a 6 day wait to receive delivery.

It's all a mess. I just wonder how much longer the panic buying will go on. That is creating the shortages. After the panic buying is over, how long will it take for on the shelf supplies to normalize?

Smart tip about switching industries! My friend with grocery experience got offered a good job on the spot, no questions asked, when he was shopping last week and chatting with the manager. He already has a job so didn't take it. But something to think about.
"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. " (1 Thessalonians 5.18)

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
