I live in a shelter in place state. In two towns about 20 miles from me there delmonte, Hormel and a large co-packer that makes dry food from general Mills, Walmart, Aldi and dozens of off brands. There also a Nestle warehouse( way more than chocolate) and one of the largest frozen food storage warehouses in the country.

All deemed essential and all working full blast.

You are right we not running food any time soon. Any shortages right now is due to panic buying and logistics.
