Any Mods, how about a pin for something that is huge! Thx Buddy :) Man is forever solving the most perplexing problems as he ventures ever further into the unknown. But where are the outer limits of his ingenuity? Will he ever encounter a problem, a Gordian Knot, which he cannot ultimately cut? --GLPPower-- |

All great truths begin as Blasphemies. G.B.S. GLP is like a diamond mine of information, in the sense that you have to shovel mountains of crap to find the diamonds, but it's still worth the pain. |

Very effective way to make masks of any kind reusable. Any Mods, how about a pin for something that is huge! So does this mean there are lab mice wearing tiny little N95 masks? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71700611 lol nope, actually read the experiment This is what one of your quotes says: The study: "A reusable virus deactivation system by functionalization of the main fibrous filtration unit of surgical mask with sodium chloride salt. The salt coating on the fiber surface dissolves upon exposure to virus aerosols and recrystallizes during drying, destroying the pathogens. When tested with tightly sealed sides, salt-coated filters showed remarkably higher filtration efficiency than conventional mask filtration layer, and a 100% SURVIVAL RATE was observed in mice" See where it says “100% SURVIVAL RATE was observed in mice? How did they measure that? |

How did they measure that? They count how many live mice they start with. Then, later they count the live mice again. If the number of live mice is the same, they can truthfully state that it is a 100% survival rate in mice. It might be necessary to check mice that are laying down because those mice could be trying to make fools of the person counting them. Last Edited by Moon&Stars on 03/28/2020 12:15 AM Moonstar |

And the amazing part is when they investigated why? They found the salt barrier "deactivated the virus" KILLED IT! Be strong, be of good courage, God bless America & long live the republic. . |

Sewing masks blog page [link to munozcollection.com (secure)] Quoting: Northlights You can use this method on homemade or any type of mask, it will make whatever you have a 1000% more effective! I do it on my N95s except I apply the salt barrier on another high density filter & then affix it to my N95s, I've made & sent several to nurses & docs I know I get upset every time I see front line healthcare workers being told to reuse their masks, this method makes any mask REUSABLE & EFFECTIVE!
