The only reason I can think of shutting down everything is to slow the progression so the hospitals don’t get really over run where people who would survive can’t get treated. And making our medical community sick with exhaustion. Italy stopped treating those over 60 to give the young a chance. I’m older so I understand. Give the young a fighting chance.

If it is this terrible, and about to get worse, why is Boris still telling people to go to work? You can't 'social-distance' in a manufacturing factory, but that is what we're being told to do.

Better yet watch the Times Square Live camera...in mid afternoon, dunno what time zone you are in. I watched at 4 pm Pacific time and there was 8 cop cars/trucks and all the cops were in a huddle. SO much for social distancing!

Additionally, the updated document ends with – “This guidance includes instructions about different personal protective equipment (PPE) ensembles that are appropriate for different clinical scenarios.”

Has the government covered its back to stop legal cases against it for not supplying the correct safety equipment to frontline medics who die given that many doctors are complaining of lack of PPE?
