Governors refusing to lock down states, allowing gatherings until late, not closing restaurants... My little hometown finally decided to close restaurants today. About time! 1400 cases and almost 50 deaths! Quoting: GA Girl It would help tremendously if the Gov would lock down the border to the state and stop flights from coming in from who knows where. Those surrounding areas have the potential to be the next little Italy. So sad. i thought our gov is blocking certain states from coming in I may have missed something in his presser yesterday. But from what I gathered he did not take any steps to shut down incoming flights or travel into our state. The only thing I heard was that he was going to have all incoming "Self Quarantine" when they came in. which if ya ask me is worthless. He was looking at some kind of report when he said" Look at all these flights" Saw him shake his head. If you know of anything I may have missed , please report. Pretty sure they have NG meeting the SoFl flights & are requiring them to list place of residence in FL & provide contact #’s, etc. He noted # of flights into Orlando b/c they hadn’t expected an uptick there and will likely add NG to MCO. (IMO) It appears they will be checking up on quarantined. ThereRMeds4That |

If you live in this area I would suggest getting bottled water. Most don't know this but the sewage in SW FL has overrun a few times and I would not trust tap water in a crisis like this. Boil it if you have to. It’s overrunning the hospitals they are and should be concerned with. People with just a common old freak out. Put out tents to get people tested and don’t allow anyone into the emergency room except emergencies. |

It has worked very well to fight crime. Soon, they will extend it to all age groups but it's a good thing really, no one needs to be out running the streets at night. I can definitely see keeping the kids off the streets. Big help with crime. |

However, there really aren’t that many people to check in the first place. Typically, three flights from the tri-state area arrive at the airport daily — one from John F. Kennedy International Airport, one from LaGuardia Airport and one from Newark Liberty International Airport. But on Tuesday, both flights from New York City were canceled, and the Newark flight only had two passengers, he said. “It is unprecedented to see that drop off in traffic,” Piccolo said."
