To all of you who haven't been here, Tampa is one of the best coastal cities in the country to drive around and just experience. Go to Tarpon Springs after this and go to the little greek village and support the small businesses after this crisis. They will need it. I live in Tampa and I think you're delusional. What exactly is there to "experience" here? LMAO There's literally nothing here and I wouldn't classify it as a "coastal city" or really much of a city at all - moreso just a boring, slow, ugly nursing home with some black people wandering around on section 8. Tampa proper has very little coast and the beaches around here including St Pete/Clearwater are incredibly boring and ugly. Have you EVER been out of Florida or off the Gulf coast?!? And I live in the Tampa burbs & totally disagree with you. My family has lived all over the country, fwiw. Locals don’t really go to StPete/C’water to experience the beach anyways. We clearly live & utilize very different parts of the city. ThereRMeds4That |

Good strategy, and I have lived in 4 different states visited dozens this place has a ton to offer and people are genuinely nicer than most other parts of the country. So if you don’t like it move is all I can say it changes your opinion about things for sure. |

Those surrounding areas have the potential to be the next little Italy. So sad. i thought our gov is blocking certain states from coming in I may have missed something in his presser yesterday. But from what I gathered he did not take any steps to shut down incoming flights or travel into our state. The only thing I heard was that he was going to have all incoming "Self Quarantine" when they came in. which if ya ask me is worthless. He was looking at some kind of report when he said" Look at all these flights" Saw him shake his head. If you know of anything I may have missed , please report. Governors cannot shut down flights, that is Interstate Commerce, a federal issue. We are preparing for it, but that requires a federal order. |

About time! 1400 cases and almost 50 deaths! Quoting: GA Girl I'm GLAD DeSantis didn't shut down the entire state. I'm all for locking down areas where the virus is widespread (Miami-Dade) but locking the entire state down when many counties have ZERO cases is ridiculous. I'm also for banning all flights from Hotspots such as NY, OR and WA state as well. The problem with that is what we've been seeing, and why it is spreading like it is. In our case, Atlanta residents are worried that they will catch it if they go out (shopping or whatever) in their own areas since they have significant numbers of cases. So where are they driving? To the areas without cases! Not only are they risking others' lives by doing this, but they are emptying out our stores so locals don't have goods. |

All that's in place is, non essential business closed, restaurants are take out or delivery only. There still is no shelter in place like Miami has done. There's no curfew either. I think by this weekend our county will mandate a shelter in place and curfew. Make-Believe |

Boil it if you have to. It’s nice to pull numbers out of your ass. It's nice to pass judgment when you clearly haven't been following the research and growth. FYI This virus STARTS with pneumonia The flu never causes pneumonia, you have to catch a secondary infection like pneumococcus which causes the pneumonia. Question: How many people did the CDC test for the flu to get their stats on flu deaths? I know in the biggest year they only tested a little over 300 people, yet they claimed flu killed over 80,000 that year. Lesson: Research how viruses spread and how this one in particular multiplies and never trust the WHO/CDC because they have their own agendas. Finally, don't have vehement opinions about things you know very little about. Don't forget there are many of us who do have medical training and can see how silly your argument is. |
