Well that sucks. Most countries are trying to get people on ventilators, most of the ones questioned in the article basically state by the time they get on PPE the person is dead,or that they simply do not have the PPE needed to go into a room to intubate someone. IE they are just watching them die. Smokingman |

Hospitals consider universal do-not-resuscitate orders for coronavirus patients Quoting: YouAreDreaming Hospitals on the front lines of the pandemic are engaged in a heated private debate over a calculation few have encountered in their lifetimes — how to weigh the “save at all costs” approach to resuscitating a dying patient against the real danger of exposing doctors and nurses to the contagion of coronavirus. The conversations are driven by the realization that the risk to staff amid dwindling stores of protective equipment — such as masks, gowns and gloves — may be too great to justify the conventional response when a patient “codes,” and their heart or breathing stops. Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago has been discussing a do-not-resuscitate policy for infected patients, regardless of the wishes of the patient or their family members — a wrenching decision to prioritize the lives of the many over the one. Read More: [link to www.washingtonpost.com (secure)] --- This is it... the hospitals are throwing in the towel and know they are too limited, too fucked to deal with the chaos that is coming and are going to let Covid19 patients just die... If you can't beat this with out a hospital, it was natures course and meant to be! fuck a hospital! |

No What this means is “no code “ is called when the heart stops No 2 hours of a code with the ventilator patient Taking 5 or six people for over 2 hours doing shocks and cpr with blood, vomit , sections all over everyone and the room . Than an hour or two for paperwork . Not giving up ! just only 10% come back from a code. |

It all depends on how bad this really gets, tough choices to be made. |
