Re: If you are taking ACE inhibitors you are putting yourselt at risk for COVID-19
ACE inhibitors almost ruined my life. I developed a violent cough for many, many weeks. Then one day I happened to stumble upon a woman's story, on the internet, who was having the same problem as me.

So, I got off of them and set up an appointment with a pulmonologist to make sure this was not something else.

I passed my pulmonary function test, my chest x-ray was clear and my pulmonary doctor said that it was the ace-inhibitor that I had been taking since June of last year. He then said that with the amount that I had taken it would probably take 6 months to work out of my system....Sigh!

Well since then, it has been days of ups and downs. My cough gets better for a while, but if I go out in public, it ramps up again. It is a battle, but with God's help I will get through.

However, I have found a new remedy that is safe to control my blood pressure and that is Hawthorne Berry. Since I started it 2 months ago, my blood pressure is perfectly normal.

Now, I just have to get through working the ACE inhibitor poison out of my system and what a time to have this happen with COVID-19 running rampart in my city.

High blood pressure problems are rampant in my family and here are some things I learned. Cardiologists are much better than primary doctors at helping you get to a normal BP. At one point my mom was on 3 different meds at the same time and it was still too high. She also went into renal failure because of the diuretic in one of them and landed in the hospital. Cardiology was called in and discontinued all 3 meds. She was put on one med and has been good to go for 10 years. There are also some conditions that can sky rocket your BP. One of them is call primary aldosteronism (PA) usually caused by a benign tumor on the adrenal gland. It isn't real common, but not rare either. Please don't mess around with high blood pressure without the help of a doctor.

Diastolic I was running from 90-110 at its worse. Now my diastolic pressure is around 70-80.

If your blood pressure is that high with medications you really need to talk to your doctor first before doing anything. You may have underlying problems causing it.

As far as taking months to get out of my system...I don't know. That is what my pulmonary doc told me.

I tried a few of them but they made my CFS/Fibro fatigue and pain horrific. My body doesn't do well with many BP meds. Glad you got off of them.

Fuck covid, How can anyone believe this shit when they reopened casinos but not churches. The signs on the doors of business have gotten less and less, now one sign, says mask required to go through these doors. Nowhere does it say you have to keep the mask on. I never would have thought we would be so easily habituated. Everyone everywhere is wearing masks, yet the numbers keep going up up. So WTF Someone's lying.
