he current interest in quercetin, however, has nothing to do with its antioxidant activity. Researchers have been applying computer modeling techniques to identify molecules with structures that could conceivably block the “ACE2 receptors” on cells to which the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 attaches, much like a key fits into a lock. Once the virus enters a cell it hijacks the cellular machinery and uses it to reproduce and crank out more viruses. Based on its molecular structure, quercetin could be a “key” that fits the lock and blocks other “keys.”

There is actually some laboratory evidence that this can happen. After the SARS epidemic, a couple of studies did show that quercetin could block entry of that particular virus into cells. However, that was an “in vitro” experiment and involved a virus that is different from the one that causes COVID-19, albeit it is in the coronavirus family. Without further studies, we can’t assume that quercetin will also block SARS-CoV-2.

Re: Quercitin
It works in conjunction with Zinc.

Capers contain quercetin and anchovies zinc, and the two are often canned and served together ... it's one of those things that proves that humans knew how to keep themselves healthy all along.

Onions loaded with quercetin, beans with zinc. Add some rice for a complete protein, some garlic for more anti-viral ... anti-viral dinner.

It's really easy. And cheap.

Quercetin is a zinc iophore. It helps open cell membranes to allow zinc ions in. That is why it kills virii. So, one should take it with zinc.

The action of quercetin in conjunction with ZINC appears to be the focus of anti-covid testing. Quercetin acts as an ionophore allowing ZINC to massively enter our cells - something it is almost incapable of doing without ionophoric assistance. Hydroxiychloraquine does the same thing and doctors around the world who have reported great success fighting covid have stressed the importance of ZINC in that treatment. Of course WHO / FDA have NOT included ZINC as their focus is on a VAX. NO ZINC and hydroxychloraquine is next to useless.

Independent research from sites like MERCOLA.COM suggest a combo of proper levels (or above) of D3, ZINC, Quercetin can reduce infection rates by over 90% and for those who do catch it, a reduction in mortality rates of almost 97%

But let's wait for billie's VAX.

I drink Soba tea which has a lot of quercetin. If you take the pill form, do not take more than 1,000 mg daily or will damage your kidneys. I have a bottle of quercetin just in case.
