Neighbourhood grocery store had a pane of plexi, a spit-shield if you will, at the counter today.  Otherwise not much different from any other day in Smalltown life, except you can sense the tension and growing anxiety of people out and about. Store shelves normal, no shortages of any kind, as far as I could see. all the grocery stores here have "installed" these here in the past week. i think it's more to make the cashiers feel safer, as in security theater, i can't imagine it doing much.
