IPlanet X research is how I discovered GLP... back then, in 2012ish, this site hadn't sold out yet and pins were reserved for some really off the wall stuff. I, like most of us, admit that I got caught up in the Trump hoopla, but I'm sad to see how much it changed this site to a political board. There are plenty of other places on the internet for that, but I digress...

Anyways, Sitchin is a limited hangout/Masonic disinfo agent who takes credible theories about the Earth's past, and throws alien bullshit on top of it to discredit alternative historians--just like the show Ancient Aliens. For example, the entire second book of the Earth Chronicles theorizes that the massive structure of Baalbek is a landing site for alien craft, and diagrams the temple as such. Now, Baalbek is fascinating in its own right, leaving aliens out of it entirely--the base of the structure contains stonework that would be impossible for when it was constructed. But if one considers it built by aliens, they stop looking into what is so unique about it at all--same with Gobekli Tepe, the pyramids, the sphinx, etc.

His interpretation of not only ancient Sumerian texts, but Hebrew as well looks at everything through the lens of "aliens." But the same supernatural qualities could be imagined of ancient human beings who reached our level of technological advancement and perhaps didn't use plastics, so not as many traces of them are left. OR, when traces of them are found, they're immediately discredited or--put on Ancient Aliens as proof of some sort of alien being that came to earth thousands of years ago and gifted us civilization. And then anything that DOESN'T fit into that bullshit "annunaki living on planet x and ruling earth" narrative is completely left out--like the long list of submerged cities right off the coast of Japan, our key west, etc.

So why does it matter? Well, the alternative (both alternative to Sitchin and to conventional/accepted history) theory is that 12,000 years ago, a comet passed by earth, and had a huge tail stream of debris that earth passed through and was bombarded with. That debris hit the polar ice cap, flash melting it and flooding the earth--which became the legend of Noah's flood. At the time of impact, an advanced civilization existed, and had reached a level of technological achievement that is not historically accepted. The entire globe wasn't necessarily on that level, like we are today, but enough people (Atlanteans, Mu) lived in that fashion so as to be significant and be remembered throughout history. That civilization was destroyed, but when the survivors came out of their DUMBS (moon base?) to rebuild, they had to start from scratch. Places like Baalbek, the great pyramids, and others are remnants from before the catastrophe, and became new hubs of civilization. The carvings, like of guys holding purses and distributing pinecones, are depictions of civilization being returned to the struggling world that was rebuilding, including people who had never witnessed that level of technological superiority before (like cargo cults).

The 12,000 year path of the comet was reset, but civilizations like the Mayans kept count of when it would return (looks like the Mayans were off by 8 years--those idiots!) Royal bloodlines pass this secret down through their houses, and use government money and secret societies (Masons) to both deceive the public as to the truth of the disaster coming our way, and to prepare for being out of the way (which is why nasa has so much masonic symbolism built in, as does the dollar bill--with the pyramid--nod to the original builders/masons of the world.)

So, to your original question, Sitchin is just part of the deception to keep you from asking why these massive structures are here in the first place, make you think its aliens from nibiru and instantly discredit it, and never look at the much more terrifying alternative explanation.
