NC allowed more than a dozen people who traveled from Wuhan in February and allowed them to stay and monitor themselves in Mecklenburg County, Charlotte area. Now we have close to 800 Covid-19 cases.

This was the first four they took in.

NC here. Sounds to me like it is a shelter in place “except when you need to go get food, meds, gas-(which nobody should need) , or if you have to work as an essential employee at any number of NON essential-essential places. Hardware, grocery, gas, Walgreens,cvs,etc. so this will continue to spread. W waited until too many people caught it to try to stop it.

The law isn't just to regulate us, it allows National Guard, First Responders, and Law Enforcement be protected. Since terrorism attacks are aimed at them first.

Just logged on to see this new order. I am on coastal nc. southeast. it is the time of year the guests begin coming, local beach and surrounding beaches closed.

so 3 people died and the state is shutdown. MC loses more people every nite to DUI accidents, complete political madness.

Northern Mecklenburg County here.

We've been under a county-wide shelter-in-place order since Thursday AM. But in my observations, few are heeding the order.

Went to Publix this morning geared up to get my last run of groceries. Mostly produce, some eggs, bacon, bread, and frozen items. Store was surprisingly stocked well. I'd say only 1/3 of us had masks and gloves. Wasn't too crowded so that's good.

Won't be leaving the house for the next 2-3 months.

They're going to screw us. Cases will spread and we will go from a stay at home order to a complete lock down.

I'm in NC. I'd like to see the number of people allowed inside of supermarkets at one time controlled and reduced. I'd also like to see people wearing masks (produce them in NC) and temperatures monitored before people go in to shop. This is how it's being done in Italy along with designated shopping days.

We are just doing a half-assed job of this mitigation. Enough to destroy the economy but not enough to adequately reduce the spread of the virus. This is going to drag on for months.
