I'm live in Eastern NC. It's been business as usual around here for the most part. Plenty of folks out and about. I work for local government and we havent shut down yet...

Anyone who leaves their homes without good reason during this should be ARRESTED

People with essential jobs should have paperwork indicating that -- and random stops should be made to check for those

Well, I work for Walmart, so essential job. And my husband got his paper tonight for his essential job (factory). So, we both still get to work (a blessing), but we would both love to quarantine (a vacation we desperately need).

Our small Walmart WAS settling down (the panic buyers slacking off) .... can goods and eggs were staying on the shelf longer than a few hours. But with this order, here comes the panic buying again. GEEZ.

And no one out here is going to follow that order. Heck, families are still coming in ... and definitely NOT following anything resembling social distancing. Walmart is just about the only "exciting" place around here (in that county, I live in the next county).

Doesn't mean jack shit. I still have to work. We are an essential business. Medical pharmacy.

And Bathroom Roy Cooper sneaks into the girls' restroom.

If your homeless, it doesn't apply and are exempt. SMH...Then find them a place to stay.

This is thanks to a totally inept federal and state government. The federal government failed to stop travel from China and Italy in a reasonable time. The state governments did not issue mandatory quarantines on people returning from hotspots, including US states. They did not track these people. The government failed to produce tests and once they did they were defective. They keep claiming to have tests enough to test everyone ‘anyone who wants a test can get one’. But that was a lie. They’ve actually given up on testing people.

As a result of this ineptitude we all get locked down like prisoners. And by the way, they still aren’t bothering to quarantine the infected or their houses. This will need to last for three or four months just to slow down the spread. And that won’t stop it because they were and are incompetent. This is a sick joke.

I don't think the NC governor has authority over the CHEROKEE NATION..

20 miles north of Raleigh here. I can tell yall this. Laugh if you want to but Turkey season starts in April around here. I can promise you that the country boys around these parts are not staying home. And there aint a darn thing anybody can do to stop us. If you don't believe that then try us.

Cooper is an idiot. He was an idiot when he was the Attorney General and is worse as the Governor. He is a one term Gov I can assure you.

So Cooper can send his boys on out to the woods if he wants to. The Wardens in our area know all of us and they are good folks. I doubt any LEO in rural NC will ever encroach on our rights.

I hate to say it but they almost should ignore it. This can’t be stopped now due to incompetence of the government. They are really just doing this to exercise their power at this point. The only reason I wouldn’t go out is to keep myself healthy.

Another reason I’d ignore it is because the government doesn’t care about illegals. They invite them in and give them drivers licenses. They do things like this just to mess with the law abiding. They leave the criminals and illegals alone. The east parts of major cities will be successfully ignoring this order.

I ran into Ingles a bit ago and the parking lot was less than half full. Store was well stocked except for rice and waffles.
Much traffic out all day.
Kind of errie to see traffic on 26 moving at actual hwy speeds when I go outside on break. (we overlook the interstate).

Happened here in Indiana and nothing really changed . Cops out asking for ID for people that are “hanging out” rather then just getting food and going.

Three counties in NC had this for a couple weeks or so. Now it is for the entire state.

Gee wiz. No good.

It’s now mandatory and will be enforced by the law. If you are caught violating the orders you can face a Class 2 Misdemeanor and or up to a $50,000 fine...

It is too late. What a mess.

This has been going on in some counties in GA. Still plenty of people in stores so, can't tell how well people are complying, other wise. I would assume most people are complying for now. Don't know how long before people get stir crazy that aren't used to it. My daughter that is a teacher and has a very active social life seems to be enjoying the break for now. She's very active in church, and used to eating out a lot. She misses that. Overall, for most not a big deal yet.

Can't be true. North Carolina has a Republican Governor.
