20 miles north of Raleigh here. I can tell yall this. Laugh if you want to but Turkey season starts in April around here. I can promise you that the country boys around these parts are not staying home. And there aint a darn thing anybody can do to stop us. If you don't believe that then try us.

Cooper is an idiot. He was an idiot when he was the Attorney General and is worse as the Governor. He is a one term Gov I can assure you.

So Cooper can send his boys on out to the woods if he wants to. The Wardens in our area know all of us and they are good folks. I doubt any LEO in rural NC will ever encroach on our rights.

I'm live in Eastern NC. It's been business as usual around here for the most part. Plenty of folks out and about. I work for local government and we havent shut down yet...

Howdy Neighbors!

I live down the street from Seymour Johnson AFB.

Most everyone I know is using this time to do home projects and plant gardens.

At least it's not the dead of winter.

Well, I work for Walmart, so essential job. And my husband got his paper tonight for his essential job (factory). So, we both still get to work (a blessing), but we would both love to quarantine (a vacation we desperately need).

Our small Walmart WAS settling down (the panic buyers slacking off) .... can goods and eggs were staying on the shelf longer than a few hours. But with this order, here comes the panic buying again. GEEZ.

And no one out here is going to follow that order. Heck, families are still coming in ... and definitely NOT following anything resembling social distancing. Walmart is just about the only "exciting" place around here (in that county, I live in the next county).

Happened here in Indiana and nothing really changed . Cops out asking for ID for people that are “hanging out” rather then just getting food and going.

The police can’t enforce this too strongly. If they do they will risk widespread disobedience. People have lost their jobs. People have lost their daily activities that distract them. People are worried and afraid. If you push them too hard they’ll push back.

The one thing they need to do is issue mandatory quarantines on the infected and all in their households and enforce that (which has been done in the past). If they aren’t doing that, and they aren’t, then this is just a raw exercise of power.

I'm in NC. I'd like to see the number of people allowed inside of supermarkets at one time controlled and reduced. I'd also like to see people wearing masks (produce them in NC) and temperatures monitored before people go in to shop. This is how it's being done in Italy along with designated shopping days.

We are just doing a half-assed job of this mitigation. Enough to destroy the economy but not enough to adequately reduce the spread of the virus. This is going to drag on for months.

It’s now mandatory and will be enforced by the law. If you are caught violating the orders you can face a Class 2 Misdemeanor and or up to a $50,000 fine...

Billy Graham's Samaratan Purse did that with Ebola too, they quarantined on the property in RVs off of Billy Graham Parkway by the airport.

It just seems like stuff going on shelves now has more potential to be infected on surface than stuff I bought weeks ago. So I'm going to try to survive on my pantry for now, and maybe farmers markets.

No they won’t because it makes far more sense to quarantine just the sick for two weeks than the entire state for one to four months (which this will be). In their defense, due to ineptness, they can’t test the population to see who has it. But they could at least quarantine those who do test positive. I know of one house where the wife tested positive but the husband was still out shopping.

In the past with flu and polio they would quarantine whole households. I remember my grandfather said his house was quarantined once.

My parents had a home in Bryson City. Love that place. Dad's deceased and Mom just sold the house. I kind of wished I would have bought it.
