Whereabouts in East Midlands? What type of planes do you think / what sort of speed?

If they're going NE - depending on what they are (assuming military) they're probably enroute to RAF Waddington or RAF Coningsby heading home.

They are not equal distance apart.
Travelling quite slowly.

They seem to be going in a straight line, then turning east

Near Peterborough.

To the left of Orions belt

Very high and quiet.
Higher than normal commercial jets.

Plenty of videos it there. Elon musk world domination.

They're probably either some AWACS heading back to RAF Waddington or Typhoons heading to RAF Coningsby.

A family member lives very close to the latter, like just off the runway near enough lol, and they can sometimes come in at night enmasse after training sessions. Quite a thrill to watch them come in over her house, sometimes banked on their side to turn in for the approach, with all their cockpit electronics lit up like a Christmas tree.

I’m in Sheffield just seen hundreds of them following each other it’s definitely not aircraft it’s far too high. Space x satellites maybe?

I just went out and looked up saw 2 slow moving star looking objects moving together then they disappeared? I have seen them before, no idea what they are.

According to the live tracker for the star links they shouldn’t be anywhere near the UK right now

Just seen ISS cruise by, can’t see anything else unusual - am in north east. Will keep looking.
