Whats for supper? The quarantine cooking thread

Ordered Chinese. Mixed veggies with white rice and a scallion pancake.

Something with beets, as I cut off the roots and put them in water to regrow them.

Home custom recipe oven baked buffalo wings, Checkers restaurants spicy fries air fried, Baby carrots sticks, Edys Ice Cream for desert. Because I'm lazy today but want to eat well.

Tonight burgers with onion straws and potatoes on the side. Yum. Last night I made cauliflower broccoli chicken breast and smashed potatoes. I put a butter garlic parsley mixture on top after boiling them and smashing them flat put them in the oven they got crispy, so good. I also made cheese sauce for the veggies.

Shepherd's pie heavy on the peas and carrots.

my friend sent me a picture of what she made for dinner, it was seemingly the most ideal gourmet home cooked from scratch meal ever, and yes she said, "we're eating a little too well", me too!

I love my own cooking! Luckily my boyfriend loves my good home cooking too! We're both super into good healthy natural fresh food.

Oh, that's funny. I've never had a scale in the house. I do have a tape measure though and I think I'm slipping.

Saltine crackers + american cheese + microwave

Fried chicken from my local Publix or Winn Dixie is okay ?

So, I opened the fridge today, and I took out everything that needed to be eaten before it went bad:

- chicken breast
- half a jar of white beans
- half a jar of cauliflower (yeah, it's weird)
- a container of greek yogurt hitting the expiration date
- an onion
- some garlic

And I stared at it.

I then got out the rice, curry powder, turmeric, little spicy yellow peppers, some weird spice that's sort of like cinnamon but not cinnamon that's been gathering dust for a year, and the salt.

And I proceeded to make some of the best chicken korma I've ever had, without a recipe, and without ever having made it in my life without cheating and using a jar full of sauce called "korma."

Sometimes, life is what you make with what you've got.

I did similar but made a bibimap sauce and vegged it up with a fresh chicken egg drooling all over it.

I ate some ground beef, sirloin, red wine (rough day mentally) and kind bar peanut and chocolate. Will also have some collagen peptides and vitamins.

Fried potatoes with onion gravy.
Buttered corn.

Damn everyone here is eating like kings!!

Forced togetherness is not the worst thing... and making food at home is kind of a nice change from so much eating out (not!) can't wait for this forced shutdown to end!

Frozen pizza from Trader Joe's - doctored up with seasoned ground beef (using italian beef spices) onions mushrooms garlic and extra cheese - nice baby lettuce salad, beer and other festive beverages is on the menu tonight.

Tonight is venison tacos

We couldn't decide what to eat so I made chicken salad.
So, it was chicken salad on a bed of lettuce with some other veggies and bacon crumbles.

Right?

We need recipes. A GLP quarantine cookbook.

I hear folks are making burgers from NOTHING...
