I love zucchini bread and zucchini cake. but i wont buy them ones grown in the greenhouses. i know they are just as healthy but i find they lack taste |

Quoting: Irredeemable If I don't die of the wu wu flu, I'll die of a heart attack, but at least I'll have enjoyed my last meal. Tonight is country ribs, wrapped in bacon, smothered in BBQ sauce, corn bread, and real mashed potatoes, none of that instant shit. Tomorrow is venison roast slow cooked all day in the crock pot with potatoes, onions, carrots, and hopefully celery if I can find any. I'll be right over! : ) |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78693614 United States 03/28/2020 10:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have been craving hot red chili broth every day. You can make it thick or thin, soup or sauce, add meat, veg, rice or noodles, have it over eggs any way you would like. I like it as soup broth for breakfast. Gets you zippy like a cup of coffee. Hot Red peppers combine any you have, dried, flakes, powder, fresh, frozen, canned anything you have, the little packs of pizza pepper flakes work. Garlic ginger onion soy or salt fish sauce if you have it a little sugar dash of lime juice or lemon or vinegar a fresh green on top like cilantro, parsley, basil, kale is nice but not required. I simmer in some of my dried powdered garden greens I preserved. Simmer in a few cups of water for a bit, strain the broth and add more water to the bits, simmer longer to make second batch. It is addicting and you end up putting it on everything. Add a little corn starch or flour to entire mix without straining for a thicker sauce for stir fry, zippy noodles or meat glaze. It will last a long time in the frig. |

Last night was chicken salad with carrot, green onion, red grapes, celery, pumpkin seeds, pesto, mayo, and seedy mustard. Froze the chicken carcass for broth. Thursday was spaghetti with meatballs. It was actually rotini because I didn't want to use the gluten free pasta my delivery shopper picked out. Wednesday was soft tacos with kidney beans, corn, beef, tomato, onion cheese. Made sure to put refried and black beans on my next order. I'm eyeing my #30 cans of hard white wheat and wondering if I can grind it in my coffee grinder. There's no flour anywhere around me.
