Re: I Just Drove by the Hospital --only one for 50 mile radius--Deserted.
I went to my local ER at 11PM last night for a simple procedure. My wife was not allowed to enter the ER. Had to stay out in the car. The parking lot only had about six cars in it. Right at the sliding glass door a table was set up to inform people to NOT come into the ER unless you were ill. I checked into the ER and walked back to the rooms. I only saw two other patients. The nurses were sitting behind the desks and looking bored. Heck, they even looked at me and wondered why I was there since I didn't look ill or injured. Haha.

After a couple of hours they wheeled me out of the ER and the parking lot was still empty. This is on a Friday night. So, nobody is going out getting drunk and harming themselves or others. This virus might be a good thing in the short term because innocent people are not getting injured due to idiots. It was very nice to get treatment very quickly instead of waiting for a dummy to get the knife or bullet pulled out of their bodies.

Just reporting in. Take it for what it is worth.

Why would you got to the ER for a simple procedure?

How's your uncle?

Cause I couldn't take care of the problem myself. It needed professionals to make it go away. Took only fifteen minutes, was under general anesthesia and the doctor must have been brand new because I've been hurting all day long. I just shake my head at the doctors the universities are churning out. The nurses were cute, the gas passer was nice, but the doc had a lot to be desired. Ugh. Hope I won't have to go back for a while.

I am having an issue with my stomach. I think a gallstone may be jammed in a bile duct or something. It's not getting better and every day, I deliberate over when/if I should go to the E.R. I'm assuming it would be easy to fix, but I hate going to those places, especially with everyone in full retard mode. I'm in TN, things here are in "lockdown" although I go out when I want to get what I want. No big deal as far as the "plague" as far as I know. I guess I should get it over with...

Sorry, does not add up, in spite of the cute details. They did that in the ER? Why on earth would they do that during this gigantic emergency?

I also want to add that when I went to the jetty yesterday there was a large tripod set up with what looked like a high tech surveillance camera of some kind in the parking lot.

No boats or boat rigs in the ramp parking lot. The weather is nasty so that makes sense. There were quite a few sitting by the bay as usual. Some people parked very close and talking less than the prescribed distance from their windows.

The grocery store was okay, but tense. There is a sign saying "vulnerable shoppers" have a happy hour where they can more easily social distance from dangerous younger people between 7 and 8 AM.

This is a retirement community and in the middle of the day (not the special hours) there were mostly old people looking completely lost in the chaos. Unbelievable what this has done to this community.
