Is getting groceries delivered through Instacart safe ?

Sunlight should destroy the virus but I have no idea how long it would have to be exposed to sunlight.

Depending on how long it takes I would have them leave the groceries in a place with direct sunlight preferably somewhere that they won't be stolen.

I've been using them since January because of Covid-19 and haven't stepped into a grocery store.

I think it's safer because you are exposed to one person versus many. You don't have to interact with the person and they can leave your groceries outside.

I still take precautions and wear gloves. I wipe down the freezer/fridge stuff with wipes.

I let the non-perishable stuff sit out for a few days and gradually wipe that stuff down too.

It's a pain in the ass to take such precautions, but I think it's better than going in to the grocery store.

They are overwhelmed right now and have delays, but I've been using them for years and they do a great job.

Shipt is very good compared to instacart. You have lot more stores to pick your food from.

I use it. it’s a lot more expensive than going to the store yourself, service fee, delivery fee and optional tip. The delivery leaves your order on your porch without any contact.

I pick the bags up with gloves and set the bags in my garage for three days. Obviously, if ordering meat or dairy you my not have that luxury, but you can wipe down the packaging before but it in the fridge.
