I think that was Midnight. Night Chills involved subliminal messages. Most of Koontz's work involves some conspiracy or another perpetrated by the government (or Russia). I've read everything he's written, older stuff is far, far better. But, this Wuhan 400 was originally written in the novel as a Russian virus, then changed.
