CBS News Journalist, Maria Mercader, Dies From Coronavirus, Age 54 (Might Have Had Another Medical Condition Also)

Why wasn’t her name mentioned weeks ago when she first went in? What a story it would have made from first diagnosis through treatment. Especially for a news journalist. We need more information...

If you look at the photo of her in the story with two others, she looks clearly sick. I'd guess she likely was suffering some disease before CV-19 got to her. RIP.

First, she didn't die from coronavirus, probably helped but not the reason.

Secondly, look at the recent pictures on the article... she looks way older than 54, so she was probably battling something for some time now.
