Parents refuse to let 21 year old back in house after kid insists on spring break trip

My son had plans to go to Disneyland in California with his (ex)Girlfriend for spring break 2 weeks ago.

A couple weeks before he was set to go. I half jokingly, half serious told him that I hope he had money to pay for a hotel for 2 weeks when he comes back into town because he's got to go into quarantine.

About a week before my son was set to go on his trip he was in my truck with me and I told him that he should seriously consider cancelling his trip and surprisingly he did not argue with me about it. Instead he listened to the information I was telling him and he looked stuff up on his own.

He texted his GF right away and told him they might have to cancel and being the superficial cunt that she is she got all pissed off.

I told my son, he didn't have to cancel right away but he should pay close attention to what is going on for the next couple of days and then decide then.

They were set to leave on the Sunday, but on Friday morning my son told me that he was cancelling his trip so I was pretty proud of him for making that decision. When my son told his Gf that he was cancelling the trip she tripped out and gave him an ultimatum...Either they go on the trip of she was breaking up with him.

So my son cancelled the trip. LOL.

Literally about 2 hours after my son called Disneyland to cancel his trip, it came out on the news that Disneyland was closing down.

All I could picture in my head was the movie, National Lampoons Vacation, but instead of the Griswalds, I pictured my sons ex-Girlfriend going to Disneyland still and finding it all locked up.

The father was an idiot. Should of bought a winter yurt type tent, with nice sleeping bags and stuff, and set it up for a two to three week quarantine.

The son will remember this, and the father will wonder why he is cut out of his sons life a few years down the road.
