So now that we’re approaching the ‘peak’ on the ‘curve’, is it more dangerous to go to grocery store?

Its going to be a mess the first of the month when those on fixed incomes rush out, and they will because by the time the first gets here theyre all eating pretty lean.

If You dont have enough in your home to last till at least the 10th of April, Go shop TODAY!! The gibmedat crowd on govt assistance, food stamps, wellfare, snap, etc will be getting their cards replenished in the next two days. The stores are going to be a fucking wreck for at least the next week. GO STOCK UP TODAY!!

I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT VENTURE TO A STORE THIS COMING WEEKEND!!!

Once you stock up TODAY or around the 10th, Make sure you've done it for at least the next MONTH. Once those $1200 checks get distributed in about 3 weeks it will be the exact same story for everyone else rushing the stores.

I suspect there will be a ton of stories in the media this coming weekend about the total chaos in the stores when this "element" descends on the stores.

Look up how many grocery stores in your area.

Then find the average population each store serves.

Find how many infected per store average.

Example. One town has 120 stores, population of 600k and 48 cases of covid.

600,000 / 48 = 12,500

There is 1 infection per 12,500 people.

Each store serves on average, 600k / 120 = 5k

Odds are close to 1 out of 2 stores will have an infectious person.

If store is open 24 hrs a day, reduce odds by 3 hour intervals.

So divide odds by 8

0.5 / 8 = 0.0625

In this scenario the odds are 6.25% you will cross paths with an infected person with in the 3 hour zone of virus hanging in the air.

Download the Instacart app. My shopper Tiffany was great. Had groceries left outside garage. Gloved up and sprayed cold stuff then wiped down. The rest is in quarantine for a long while in the garage.

I ordered nearly $200 in groceries from Instacart on Friday. But now Instacart is on strike and I'll probably have to go to the stores or stay home and do without.

If you think ordering groceries is safe....

It’s all a risk. So many people touching the food.

I won’t even consider fresh produce from a grocery store anymore.

This thread comes to my mind, i'm sure most of us have plenty of food in house to survive for few weeks. Survive, in this instances means control over childish uncontrolled appetite for some favorite foods or cookies.
The risk of getting infected from a trip to grocery store is way higher than dying from starvation.

less food = higher state of consciousness

Thread: less food = higher state of consciousness

If you really have to go, get mask, gloves, hat, some long raincoat, rubber shoes better. Don't touch first items on the shelf, unless is last one, buy items wrapped in plastic containers even meats, veggies. Bring a couple of garbage plastic in your trunk , put everything in to avoid car contamination. When you get home open the bags in garage have a bucket with soap water disinfectant use a sponge disinfect the containers and throw them away if possible , prevent kitchen/fridge contamination. have a boot tray with soap water/chlorine deep your shoes before get in house. Take your raincoat/jacket pants, shoes, hat and wash, take a shower.

If you go, wear a mask if you have one (I prefer to repeatedly use hand sanitizer while shopping instead of gloves), clean your cart before you use it (you can ask an employee for some cleaning supplies) and keep away from ppl. I have noticed some ppl eitther dont care if they get close to you or forget. Dont be shy about stepping away from them. Dont touch your face. Dont handle items and put them back. Spray your groceries in the car and clean everything with lysol wipes if you have them before you bring inside. Wash your produce immeadiately and dispose of your plastic bags. Clean your car and keys, phone, debit cards. Put your clothes into your washing machine right away and for Gods sake, dont wear your shoes inside! Oh, and dispose of your mask properly and remove it properly. If you dont know how, look up a video on Youtube.

Just sharing our methods.

Peak on the curve? Curve of what? New Jerk city?

Get this through your grey matter!

Unlike China, the "curve" as people are hoping for WILL BE DIFFERENT in America!

We are and will experience a "rolling curve" as I have dubbed it.

This pandemic is slowly ramping to a peak in some cities, while in others it has yet to impact.

So therefore one cannot really reach a "peak" until the entirety of the country has reached a "peak".

Seriously bros, wake the fuck up!

why do people in grocery store not obey the 6 foot distancing rule ?

they walk right by you instead of waiting, choosing a different aisle

its like their mindless instinctual animals incapable of consciously choosing an intelligent and prudent mode of behavior ... they CANT keep 6 foot distance

I wish there were undercover cops or monitors who whipped out a taser EVERY TIME they saw two people get within 6 foot of eachother

keep the fuck back, motherfucker ... DO NOT ... *EVER* ... get within 6 foot of another person unless a member of your family you came with

WHY is that so hard to understand ? I DONT FUCKING ARE IF YOU HAVE TO BACK UP AND GO THE OTHER WAY DOWN THE AISLE

it doesn't matter ... don't do it
