We find out soon if she starts recovering or progresses worse. Hopefully shes over the hump and will improve now. They say about ten days to two weeks from onset is when the danger time comes. |

I was banned (don’t know why, request for ban to be lifted was refused) Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21924179 Trinity can confirm my IP address. We got the call today. We live in Pensacola Florida. It took 11 days to get a result. When my wife first got sick, I told work I was staying home. Have been home almost three weeks now. AFAIK no one from work in my area has gotten sick. The symptoms started with blood pressure shooting to 130-150. No sore throat. No cough. A tightness in the trachea leading down. Her symptoms following have been consistent bp up to 150 when standing, low grade fever below 100, abdominal pain, nausea, tiredness, for a bit she had pains in her chest cavity; especially lower. She can smell and taste just fine. No redness in or around her eyes. Mild cough started yesterday. O2 bounces between 95-99. She got the test when my daughter started exhibiting symptoms. Her h art rate was and is doing the same. She is 15. My wife is not a smoker. Her o2 has always been 100. I’ve kept her in her bedroom the entire time. Box fan in there. Aside from food no one goes in there. I’ve slept on the couch. Our daughter has been confined to her room aside from bathroom. Cleaning as needed. We have four children. Youngest 8. She’s a stay at home mom. Early feb after realizing the scope from GLP, we canceled all appointments and the family aside from myself have not left the house. Kids were already homeschooled for many years. I was the only vector. I feel fine. For a heavy smoker of 20 years. Pack a day keeps the airaids away! I smoke outside though. Lots of sun. We’re on day 21 with her being sick. Prayers from Pensacola |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77557839 Australia 03/30/2020 03:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No, seriously - how do you keep your wife in bed for 3 weeks? She has 4 kids and a husband, she homeschools those kids. Seriously - how do you keep her in bed? Any woman I know who 1. Has 4 kids 2. Home schools They don't take holidays, they don't go to the doctors, they rarely watch TV, they usually have the whole family/home/social life (family/outings (educational/individual) outfit running like a well-oiled machine -- they don't pause - ever. Women like that - they die on their feet. So again - how do you keep her in bed for 3 weeks, with what seems to be mild/moderate symptoms? |

We’re on day 21 with her being sick. I posted on here several days ago about a sickness I had, the more I read about this the more I think I had it. I k ow it could be more psychosomatic than anything, but it is stuck in the back of my mind. I have always been a very healthy and rarely sick kind of person and I'm not on any meds, never have been. Day 1 Migraine triggered Nausea Day 2 Fever 103 terrible aches Nausea Mild unproductive cough Tested negative for flu at Urgent Care Had high BP Random Shortness of breath Day 3 Woke up soaked fever broke Fever 103 terrible aches Nausea Mild unproductive cough Random shortness of breath Morning day 4 Fever broke, woke up soaked No longer felt ill Two Weeks Later Day 1 103 Fever terrible aches Nausea Pain in lower left back Random shortness of breath BP high Day 2 Woke up soaked fever broke Fever and body aches came back again Nausea Random shortness of breath BP very high Day 3 Woke up soaked, fever broke Fever terrible aches return Nausea BP high Saw the doc tested negative for flu Doc sent me for lots of labs Mild unproductive cough Random shortness of breath Pain lower left back Put me on BP medicine Day 4 Woke up soaked fever broke Fever body aches return Nausea Pain lower back Random shortness of breath Doc called with lab results (lab is in his office) Body fighting serious infection Body fighting inflammation Hydrate, rest monitor BP. Day 5 Woke up soaked fever broke Still had high BP which is now controlled with BP meds, but it still spikes up or down, sometimes I almost pass out because BP drops too low and have to lay down No more fever, cough, back pain or body aches since. I still feel a little off though. Weirdest illness I've ever had. No diarrhea No vomiting No phlegm Thread: I think I MAY have had COVID/ Corona had all of the symptoms.... |

We already know she needed to be segregated. She has her own room, bathroom, tv, internet, food service As for any and all outings...everything was canceled early feb. As for myself, I am very much involved. Home schooling involves online learning k-12. We are learning coaches not teachers. They have teachers. The younger two are in step up for students Florida gardener scholarship. For special needs only. Seriously any of y’all in Florida and looking for help look them up. |

Next was pains in lower chest cavity. Didn’t matter if breathing or not. Throbbing. Week later stomach pains. Hurts enough to not want to eat. Why she ended up in the er last week. Dehydrated. Couldn’t get her to eat or drink. |

Keep them laying on their stomach as much as possible, its easier on the lungs. They keep ARDS patients on their stomachs up to 17 hrs a day. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71375307 I thought prone?? I think they call that prone. I know first hand it makes breathing easier. I had a lung flu and even a semi upright position on my back made it harder to breathe. I couldnt lay flat on stomach but kinda on my side with chest down, I was thrilled at how easier to breathe also stopped the cough. For the steam, at night I used a crockpot on high with the lid ajar, during the day I kept a pot simmering. Smoker, usually a lung flu hit me hard and long, this time with better treatment, over in record time and it cleared a lot of gunk outta my lungs from a lung flu a couple yrs ago. Also I did a steam every day, hold a blanket over my head while I bent over a pot of boiled water. Also you can pound them on the back and chest, lung area, to break up the mucus. Its all about keeping the mucus thinned(steam, humidity) and expelling it. Omfg I thought prone meant sitting up |

In literal use, prone and supine indicate contrasting positions of the body: a person lying prone is facing downward while a person lying supine is face up. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 21924179 United States 03/30/2020 03:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I also want to add this. Hospitals may be empty cause they are telling people to stay home, and there is nothing to be done. That and people fearing going in and being exposed. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76177238 I hope this is not a disease. One that stays with you forever like HIV. I find it funny how they say the virus causes immunodeficiency. Isn’t that one of the risk factors? I also believe that the large variance of symptoms are different strains. Can’t prove it yet, more research to do. |

The story itself, well believe me or not. I’m living it. I fought FEMA and insurance company in 18 after Michael hit. People don’t believe me when I tell them that In 11/17 FEMA told me to go to a homeless shelter due to insurance company listing my property as owner occupied tenancy. The FOIA of that convo was appalling when I proved it. Again things take time. Immediate satisfaction not guaranteed. |
