Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76177238 Has there ever really been a chronic/terminal disease that is acquired by breathing a pathogen in? I don’t mean lung cancer and things like that. But obviously something like HIV needs blood on blood transmission. A chronic disease that is airborne seems like it would be a first for the world. I was thinking the other day...let’s say sickle cell disease was a new condition. Would people declare it was man made? |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21924179 The nurse was adamant about no ct scan (if she does have it we would have to sterilize clean the room) so absolutely refused. Chest X-ray came back fine. I showed the numbers for X-ray and ct scan differences and what their able to show. We were told because she hasn’t been traveling she doesn’t have it. I showed the cdc saying it’s endemic. I asked them why they keep saying cough/sob/fever Showed documentation showing prevalence in patients with those symptoms. The most important one was that only 15% of people have all three at once. Everyone from primary physician to hospital said she doesn’t have it. For weeks. To get the test, I am so glad that glp not only researched but analyzed the information (to further be analyzed). This information was why we were able to get tested. Because at that point 11 days ago the primary suddenly had doubts. Sacred heart er was convinced she didn’t have it. Due to not exhibiting all symptoms at once, and a lack of traveling history. Treat all patients as if they are infected. They did tell us something that we are sharing. The hospital has said don’t come to the ER unless you are dying. That there is absolutely nothing they can do aside from supportive/pallatiave care. Oxygen/fluids etc. It is true there is nothing they can do unless you are near death. |

The first wave is usually harmless to the young. If they don’t get it they could get sick or even die with the second or third wave since it mutates. Old and informed should be the ones to shelter in place. Not the young. |

[link to www.medrxiv.org (secure)] We extracted the data on 1,099 patients with laboratory-confirmed 2019-nCoV ARD from 552 hospitals in 31 provinces/provincial municipalities through January 29th, 2020. Table 1 in the notes/appendix shows that non-smokers have a 6x greater chance of contracting this virus. "Whatever the explanation, it rather looks as if smokers are afforded greater protection against the new coronavirus than non-smokers. Furthermore, when they do catch the virus, it seems that smokers generally get non-severe cases." Frank Davis cfrankdavis.wordpress.com |

You need to stop smoking. That is SO selfish of you. You say you smoke outside. So what? Your cancer sticks are still blowing smoke inside if you're near the door or an open window. You have children. You have a wife. You sit there and smoke knowing that you can/will get cancer if you continue. Do you not care about your family? I know it's not easy to quit, but you can do it, millions have quit. Your body can start repairing itself. |
