This is why the grocery stores are getting fully stocked. | |

I was thinking why don't they just order the industrial sized toilet paper from the manufacturers like the big-wheel rolls of paper you find in corporate bathrooms. IRCO |

Very quiet, got in, got my stuff, got out. The only thing they didn't have were eggs, zippo. So far, there are no food shortages. But I don't think that can last. Anyway I have chickens, and have my own egg supply. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77924113 And one day you'll die like everyone else. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77158074 LOL--ain't that the truth. I have been a preppier for decades. When I first started it seemed like a good idea to buy those big cans. Well, after years of having zero reason (household of four) to open them they began to swell and even crack. So, good point--if you do not have a platoon living in your house don't buy the giant cans. |

It's great that they got it going to the stores now! Anonymous Coward User ID: 75454629 United States 03/31/2020 12:35 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It will last about 2 weeks as more get sick in the supply chain. The only ones getting this now will be the ones in the public, bumping shoulders with others on a daily basis. Those are almost all food related. If you have any useless money left, buy what you can today or tomorrow. It will not be around to be purchased in a couple of weeks. My local grocery chain, HyVee, announced they were going from 24 hours open to 14 hours open. It was 24 hours the previous 8 years, only partially closing on Christmas day. They did this new hours shit in early January even before the covid thread here. Our masters knew all about this and did nothing to warn us. For the survivors, remember this. |

Anyway I have chickens, and have my own egg supply. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77924113 You're lucky! Where I am in Northern CO, I went to the store at 9am today and hardly any dairy to speak of. Maybe 20 packs of butter, 4 cartons of eggs, 8 gallons of milk and few random alternative milks and heavy cream. 6 chicken breast- I bought 4, let the lady behind me have the last 2. She had a family of 3, we have 5. Very little on some shelves like beans and rice, plenty of produce, little cheese, not a yogurt to be seen. There are big gaps in the frozen areas, but plenty of cereal. Definitely not stocked like it usually is. I'd say it's maybe approaching 2/3rds of what it usually is, maybe. |
