I've been living here my entire life. I was under the impression that it's already collapsed. It's just that istead of the collapse just being on main street, now it's affecting the casinoes on wall street!

Re: Professor of international politics: "We will literally see the US collapse in the coming weeks"
"It is still too early to assess this crisis geopolitically," says Professor Criekemans. "But I think a number of geopolitical processes that were already underway will be accelerated." By this he refers to the rise of Asia and especially China, and the lack of leadership of the United States.

In the corona crisis, Criekemans also sees a crisis of the current neo-liberal model. According to the professor, the United States has long invested too little in health care, which it mainly wanted to organize privately.
"We will literally see the US collapse on our television screens in the coming weeks," he says. "This will have implications for how other countries view the US."

Corona-diplomacy
China is already anticipating this, for example by providing flashy medical aid and, for example, mouth masks to Italy, Great Britain and other European countries. "In this way, China uses soft power, they do corona diplomacy," says Criekemans. China is looking for trade corridors and is now seeing opportunities in Italy.

Russia is also engaged in corona diplomacy. For example, we saw Russian army trucks spraying the streets with disinfectant in Bergamo. That doesn't help much against the pandemic, but everyone has seen it. [link to www.hln.be (secure)]

I don't think it will happen quite that quick, but I think it is going to happen - the downfall of Babylon.

For as much as the Trumpers claim to be "Christians," they seem to have trouble viewing the mote in their own eyes. The "America First" motto is great, if you're living in 1779. But we live in a global economy now, and the cooperation of nations is what has built the wealth we all enjoy. Right now, we could really use a global response, but because we are so caught up in nationalism, and have pissed off so many other nations, no one wants to help us. And sure, we could move manufacturing back to America, in fact, it would probably be a good thing to do that.

But guess what? You think American corporations, the ones that have been so protected and worshipped by conservatives, do you really think they are going to want to pay the wages American workers would require? Why do you think all of those companies moved in the first place? It's easy enough to blame Obama or whoever else you want, but those companies started pulling out as soon as the union movement started flexing its muscle, trying to fight for the American worker. But just like the majority of Trumpers, a lot of people here vilify the unions and blame them. Christ some people are easy to deceive.

No, we have this coming, and while so many of you are claiming high ground, that you're "patriots" and Trump is going to save us, the exact opposite is true. And guess what? When all is said and done, he's just another member of the elite, and he will be sitting back sharing a nice glass of wine on a yacht with Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell, Hillary, and the whole crew. Think I'm wrong...?

So, what kind of lifestyle do you have? Living in your Mother's basement? Do you have a lifestyle to lose? Those of us that have worked our asses off for what we have don't want to give it all up to work as third world slaves so that the elite can make more money. We have to fight for humane working conditions. You don't work people 70 or 80 hours a week like machines then toss them aside with no health care when they are used up. Screw you.
 Quoting: DakotaRose

I think you totally misread my post, because that's exactly what I am saying - we NEEDED unions to be strong to fight for American workers, but the conservatives have totally vilified them.

And companies moving to other countries to save money is WRONG, it has screwed all of the factory and blue collar workers here.

What did you think I was saying..? Maybe you should re-read my post.
 Quoting: Blue_Triquetra

NO WE DONT NEED UNIONS because they are nothing but corrupt left wing extensions of the corrupt commie Globalists. I was a United Steel worker and Teamster and saw the Union protect complete dykheads ( selling dope in the plant, stealing, beating up a foreman for sending a stoned overhead crane operator home after he destroyed several furnaces); the foreman got fired and never returned, but the dykhead did. BTW, Im from Detroit area, the land of the blue collar donkey. WE DO NEED WORKER REPRESENTATION, JUST NOT THE ESTABLISHMENT MAFIA UNIONS WE HAVE. Im a conservative as well because my IQ is over room temp.

Freemarket capitalism and individual enterprise will lead us out-- if, and only if, the Fed Reserve is eliminated, and government allowed/approved monopolies are disbanded.

Of course, that will mean a world war and millions of deaths--but better in the long run.

Re: Professor of international politics: "We will literally see the US collapse in the coming weeks"
Prof of "INTERNATIONAL"? Politics

The USA collapsing?

Talk about an introverted and optimistic theory.

The following is what will make the world go down the tubes.

A Lid cant be put on this, its wave one:

Thread: CoronaVirus Is Confirmed As Airborne!!

It has to burn through the worlds population and all that entails for a total social change of human interaction, and still have some sort of health service left for other things besides Co-Vid.

Wave 2 and 3 as in all Pandemics like Winter 2020 and spring of 2021 will break an already exhausted society everywhere and bring collapse to Social care and social norms.

There is distress starting big time in the Credit markets again 100x worse than QE, unlimited QE has just been done by trump, no where further to go. banks will within 1 month get twitchy very with each other, the Property Process are going to CRASH when we are allowed back out, no one will get a mortgage, debtors will be chased aggressively, and also no sub prime of any type loan as risk of future shut down loosing jobs, nearly all will need guarantor or +AAA

Job losses, etc., Industries collapsing all retail, leisure, hotels countries such as Spain in trouble already have not even began to factor in the loss of tourism to GDP plus cost of this. Countries will by the end of the year default in the PIGS (Portugal Ireland Spain) Europe due to Brexit is over, Merkel is leaving, new non Come here cultural Enrichment more trumpesque leader on way, not so Euro.

The Markets for many reasons and I could go on and on are about to no matter what the Dow shows burn and be based on fundamentals not Algorithms.

Unfortunately the fundamentals have just been changed and at least 1/3 of cash flow GDP taken away.

very High Probability esp as Oil goes to a point where the producers will pay for you to buy and store it (negative oil Barrell costs very soon) for Hyperinflation in about 24 -36 months, no one is mentioning it its very likely.

If a "whale" one of about 12 in the world who for example have about 1/10 of European gdp there move about a year in portfolios for millions upon millions of pensions and are under obligation for payments out for 20-30 yrs ahead, pulls just say from Mortgage, Real Estate, or Bonds are the first to do so in one swoop to protect their portfolio, the other 10-12 int he world will within 1 day.

Result, 2007 will be like a lottery jackpot win. These funds are bigger than countries entire GDP, one twitchy move by one out of any any risky asset class and BOOM dominoes.

There is flood from investments for Cash ie currencies out of assets etc., as more cash is being printed there is only safe havens next, if the paper Gold is shown to be scam against physical, well the carnage would be profound in a matter of minutes if everyone calls in the actual promise. That could easily bring down a few countries on its own.

Civil unrest will be increasing as people loose homes, business, loved ones etc. in next 12 months.

China has gone from everyone's friend with a rising middle class, peasant to refrigerators and tvs in a decade or so, if there is civil unrest, and a real uprising quite likely by the way 12 months from here as no one is employing them in the factories, and they dump the US treasuries they have, well USA good luck with all that Pride, the carnage would not need a war to be fought to cripple it, they might do that rather than go down and have another Mao style but wanting more like French revolution style uprising, only other option expand and invade, NOW THAT IS DANGEROUS as where towards Russia.....very unlikely would probably loose not good enough risk/benefits but Taiwan the jewel they always wanted...what would America do if in trouble itself?

If it ignored it and let Taiwan fall, and did not do a British type of all or nothing "Falklands" all credibility and psychological strength of it being an Ally and trusted would dissapear overnight...seen what the Chinese have been up to with their army navy and building islands claiming the sea lanes there last 5 years?

I could go on and on....

The world is in the sh--t literally from this in so many ways its impossible for there to be at the least

Great economic pain to the world, probably a depression and slow recovery

Hopefully not Hyperinflation in the USA or Europe due to Pigs if a western major power gets that, well War is on, within 24 months.

Social restructuring and change to all human interactions for at least 3 years how that affects business relationships etc.

The very real threat of a not so friendly now, not trusted now, weakening and cornered beast of China which though all I pads etc. is a Godless Bat eating Live Rat dipped into sweet and sour delicacy munching Totalitarian Orwellian Monster that will eat others like they eat live baby rats and smile doing it rather than die itself.

Americas in trouble? if true and only that best outcome for the world 3 -5 yrs from now, a win, winning for humanity as a whole and peace and societies, a result, than anyone with any real comprehension and strategic vision of where the World is now and is going can even hope for.

Get real.

God Bless

Nahh there isn't going to be a power shift on a Planetary level because of this virus because the coming economic crisis will hit everyone hard equally...there will be however a shift in power in Asia because this will provide the West/NWO the opportunity of punishing China for it's disobedience, i think the NWO will start to take away from China a considerable amount of the technology, factories and advantageous access to markets and give them to China's neighbors/rivals instead, the economic crisis provides a good opportunity for that.
