User ID: 78033988 United States 04/01/2020 02:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have morning senior hours at local grocery stores, to give the elders a chance to do their shopping without worrying about young whippersnapper super-spreaders not self-isolating and coughing over all the freshly laid out produce. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78691157 Our store has specific hours for each group too Not sure anyone pays attention to it I go when I need stuff I’m also not sick I assume you mean the first two hours are set aside for the elderly and immuno-compromised? They don't have to go then, its just when its cleanest and 'reserved' for them. WE've had this in Fort Worth for a couple weeks at some stores. the next thing for us was the reduced hours. We went to Home Depot yesterday at 5:40. There was a line of 50+ outside and the girl guarding the line said they were closing at 6. Crazy times. |

More conditioning It’s on OP My damn liquor store has plex shields up Haven’t been back to the grocery store in a while People are pissed and stressed and I don’t want to be around them Till they run out of plexiglass. Gee if only I had thought to invest in plexiglass. It was like $400 a sheet before it got popular. I feel so stupid. |

Stores are finally starting to figure it out and implement rules as to how many can be inside at a time. They're trying to discourage people from leaving home just to come wander Wal-Mart or Target. Because alot of people are still doing that instead of staying home. Quoting: letmeseeyourphone Will they succeed in breaking the "shop for entertainment' habit? Quoting: Deplorablemeeeeeeeee! While walking in I saw a group of shopping carts with caution tape around them Just outside the entrance with signs saying please keep 6’ from each of your fellow shoppers. I walked in and grabbed and sanitized a cart and asked one of the cart crew what are the outside carts and signs where about He said starting on April 7 they will be limiting how many people will be allowed in the store at one time. WTF. anyone else seeing this at their local grocery store? Dude this has been happening for over a week in Toronto |

Quoting: LaGata The last time I was at the store I had to position a cart between myself and another clueless individual to prevent them from practically dry-humping me in line. People have absolutely no concept of personal space, this is even pre-plague. It is one of the things that angers me the most, I absolutely HATE it when people get up in my space. ^^ THIS ^^ |

Eat and sleep. I will hibernate. Wake me up in 6 months if this is over. I’ll be dead if it’s something more serious anyway Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77220343 Drink hot beverages or at least hot water throughout the day. Around 130 degrees kills the virus and we can drink that temp easy. The virus lives at the back of the throat and the hot water will wash it down to the stomach where the acids destroy it. |

User ID: 77306775 United States 04/01/2020 04:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In addition to common sense sanitation measures I’ve been taking such as removing shoes outside and sanitizing them, removing all clothes immediately, getting a shower right away, wiping down groceries. I make sure to gargle with very warm salt water every single night, making sure not to swallow any, and then rinse my mouth thoroughly with clean water. I also boil some clean water and then with some mild body soap clean about half an inch in my nose (I never ever use tap water for this). I also make sure to blow my nose frequently and then wash or sanitize my hands. The nose and throat is where these pathogens take hold first so these are very important steps. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67068656 Also, I sanitize my toothbrush! I soak in hydrogen peroxide and then rinse or soak it in boiling water before each use. None of this is medical advice just what I’m personally doing. You remind me of Monk, the TV detective. But I guess we all have to be Monk right now. |
