In Texas people have not been able to log onto the TWC for 2 weeks now. It is the only way to apply for unemployment benefits.

Another interesting thing about Texas. Payments are not retroactive. So if you can't log on to apply, you are SOL for that week.

Amazing how many will give up their freedom for free stuff.

I am on hold right now trying to get the Covid unemployment assistance for self-employed. I have been trying to get through since Monday to even talk to someone.

I had applied but was denied because I had not paid into the system, but this a special situation. I cannot get ahold of a person. Because of the traffic on the phone lines, I am not even put into a que, but disconnected because of the wait time. My rent was due yesterday, and now I am in the overdraft. A tear is running down my face as I type this. Thanks Covid.
