I'd like to know if these covid deaths are replacing deaths from other causes in the stats. Will we see a decrease in deaths from heart disease and flu because they're being called covid deaths?

If Covid kills people who would have died from heart disease shortly, there might be a slight dip there. We all have to die from something. If we have a new category that has huge numbers, other categories have to decrease to accommodate those new figures. That still doesn't not mean that Covid19 isn't a terrible illness and is killing many people.

Once we made equipment safer in factories and farms, deaths from other categories took in those people. Once we got rid of small pox, mostly TB, etc., people died of other things too. That's how it goes. That doesn't negate heart disease and cancer because people are dying of those now instead of small pox and TB. Duh!
