All other areas in these big stores are now blocked off. I work in one. You can only buy essential items. No clothes, no toys, no electronics, no arts and crafts, no sporting goods items, no hardware items, lawn and garden centers are closed, auto care centers are closed...the only things you can buy now are:

Food
Pharmacy items
Personal items like soap, shampoo, etc.
Paper products - toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, etc.
Pet Food
Only certain baby items - diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, bottles, but no cribs and stuff like that.

The reason they had to do this was because people were literally going to these big stores and walking around, browsing, etc. because they are bored. Its sad it had to come to this.

Non essential items can still be ordered online however, and many offer "pick up today" options.

I hope the rest of the Country follows suit. People don't need to be out shopping during a pandemic.

Andy Breshear (Dem) God/Gov of Kentucky threatened to "re-evaluate" how essential those stores were after it was 80 degrees (very warm for Kentucky in March) on Saturday people were getting home projects done to stay sane.

Who are they to determine what is essential to one person and not another? I need office paper and office supplies, someone else may need toddler clothes because the baby outgrew their clothing. You may wear under ware, but someone else may not. Get my drift?

Same thing in at least one Indiana county. A local hardware store owner who is also a county commissioner was pissed because he couldn't stay open and walmart was selling shit he couldn't. This ban includes among other things, BOOKS...
