atm,i think canelo's banking on the desperation of his opponents inability to really hurt him.he can absorb,ratchet up the pressure mid fight and dictate.

Briggs' weakness was the same as Tyson's..

Lack of defensive/cover-up smarts, and a strong tendency to punch himself OUT in only 2-4 rounds.

Guys with the most (upper body/arm) strength utilize that asset in 1-4 rounds, and then that inevitable lactic acid renders them relatively/essentially punchless ... until the opponent realizes that they are no longer any real combination-threat from that point onward ..
