Jeez, people have lost it. just busting your balls. i just figured you were like one of my friends who always shits on everything cause he thinks he always knows a better solution to everything... but yeah, i got the samsung for $299 on sale. i wanted the valve index but $1000 and an 8 week wait was a bit too much and too long to wait. and i wanted a more entry level VR to see if i liked it first. the samsung supposedly has a higher resolution which is big for me since i'm a graphics whore. the finger tracking on the index controllers would probably take it to even another level but this will do for now and it's great. (OP) User ID: 60863762 United States04/02/2020 11:03 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i bought it in 2016. i can't remember the processor(maybe intel 6700k, can't remember), but i know i have 16 gigs of 3000mhz ram, 1tb samsung solid state hard drive, and have upgraded the graphics card to an nvidia 1080. just be sure you have usb 3.0 which all should have now, and bluetooth 4.0 IF you get a VR set that uses bluetooth. (the samsung odyssey+ does not require it since the controllers wirelessly connect to the headset) when i started half life alyx it said my graphics card wasn't powerful enough to run it in ultra graphics settings, but i maxed it out anyway and it runs perfectly fine. It was like looking at a blurry screen through diver goggles.
