Quoting: Pessimistick His mother on Letterman about 10 years ago still brings me to tears. I also would dispute Hicks was a liberal. Hicks was a libertarian before libertarians knew they wanted to be called that. What am I reading FOR? So I don't end up a fucking waffle house waitress, that's what I'm reading "for". Hicks, then Carlin....At least we still have Stanhope. We still have Burr, Brother. And Carolla... Adam Carolla’s Books are phenomenal.... see, I look at Bill Burr as more of a traditional comedian. Like, getting laughs is the central part of his schtick. Hicks, Carlin & Stanhope do a lot more talking, less joking. I admit, I haven't seen Burr do standup in a while.
