I haven't even started into my emergency alcohol stash, but I've been thinking about some vodka this Friday night just because it's supposed to be such a nice day. We are eternal... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78067820 Stay frosty, people. Stay sharp. Bible says to be of sober mind! "Drinking a lot more" has a different meaning to different people. For me, who rarely drinks, a small glass of wine is drinking a lot more. I can count the times I have been drunk on one hand - those college days, you know? For other people, it might mean drinking a 12-pack a day instead of a beer or two, and that is too much. The Bible doesn't say that drinking alcohol is wrong, but common sense and the Bible tells us moderation in all things, including alcohol. |

I saw this coming back at the end of January, and started getting a few bottles everytime I went out. Now I got enough to re-stock the liquor store again lol. That's ok, because it never goes bad, and it has many uses, not just to get drunk. I'll be having lots of big parties this summer. It will be just me because I have no friends or neighbors, but it will still be an awesome party! We are eternal... All this pain is an illusion |

(OP) J to the 3rd User ID: 78471388 Switzerland 04/02/2020 12:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey JJ Johns! Quoting: Wharf Rat Love this thread topic Well, let's see. Old Wharf loves his beer, that's for sure. But because of losing my job, I stocked up on vodka, and cheap, crappy beers. The result is, I'm actually probably drinking slightly less than usual (maybe 6-8 beers per day, instead of 10-12). I can't really drink vodka, but I got a big supply now, just in case the liquor stores shut down, haha. Thing is, my "old" routine was clock out from work, have my free after-shifter (I worked at a sports bar), then hit the liquor store and get a 12-pack of really delicious beer. My "new" routine, it's not really as fun to drink crappy beer. I mean, it does the trick, but I'm definitely drinking less. The other big change now, is that since I don't have to go to work (and in fact, am ordered by the Governor to remain indoors), I can start drinking as early in the day that I want. So, it's kinda like my old weekends, haha. Also, I have a natural "cut off", where once I'm intoxicated, my body just doesn't want any more. So, if I start drinking in the morning, by noon I'm already done for the day. Anyway sorry for the long ramble, haha. Great thread, it's honestly making me thirsty! (PS-- does your country have "legal" weed? Your earlier post said you haven't had any in a while-- is that because of laws, or another reason?) hey WR. i'm an old beer lover myself. especially the heavy tasty stuff, like stouts and porters and ales... but tried to cut down on it as i got older and my gut grew... i kno wwhat you mean too about the crappy stuff. i can't o it, as much as i tried. and, crap whiskey is even worse than crap beer, i think. and i hear you about the cut off. i acquired this wonderful skill long ago. however, my cutoff limit has also increased. never hungover, but i know that it can't be healthy in the long term. add: oh yeah. they have legal less than 1% thc weed. i never tried it. sounds sketchy. i'm an american, by the way. married a swiss chick, and here i am. the weed stores that sell that are all closed now--not essential. :1dnno1: i guess it depends on who you ask, as far as how essential t is. at least they sell booze in the super market. I've been having adult refreshments daily for a long time and you know quitting puts you at risk for stroke, so I decided to slow down.
