The USA has been fighting a subterranean enemy for decades. Their enemy is the same civilisation Asians came from. This enemy uses sonic and concussive weaponry. It's the booms that have heard over the USA the last decade or so. This enemy nearly broke through the China Lake Bastion about a year or so. The conflict requires a relatively small amount of men to fight due to the terrain so it has been possible for the government to cover up.

The Q shit is a blanket disinformation campaign for a number of things. This subterranean war is one of them.

Addendum: There are multiple races underground, the Asians are most likely the one being fought due to the timespan of the conflict. If it were greys or reptilians they would have lost by now.
