The Captain went outside his chain of command and leaked military information to the press.

Regardless of current events, the UCMJ still stands, and he violated it.

If you're in the military, your job is to COMPLETE THE MISSION, not simply 'stay safe'.

He should be severely reprimanded, not just relieved.

Actually you can Quarantine properly on a ship, it's real simple.

Aircraft Carrier's have several secure spaces designed to be hospitals and all these spaces have fireproof water tight doors that can be locked in an Emergency.

All you have to do is send all Corona patients into one of these areas, set "Condition Zebra" on the doors leading into these areas and post a Master At Arms (the ship's police force) at all doors leading into these spaces to control the access of food and supplies.
